Grooming March 17, 2016
Spring Logging is underway: As most of you know, we ski on trails in a commercial forest. Without forestry we have no skiing. So, hug a forester or logger (when they are not logging or foresting). Some trails will be affected. A map is posted at the trail head and ribbon will close off affected trails. PLEASE DO NOT CROSS RIBBONS! The loggers have a job to do and continued interruptions make their job far more difficult. Thanks.

Forestville: The jury is still out as of press time. Snow cover in town is too thin and wet to groom but Forestville is further from the lake. Rest assured, if we can make good skiing we will make good skiing.

Way Too Long Version: Every March 17 friends of St. Gertrude of Nivelles look out the window in hopes of a named storm event. All too often one of her many Irish associates gets the nod. Some grooming report writers even reach out for weeks around a given feast day to honor their favorite patron. We follow the rules in this office and are pleased to welcome the St. Gertrude of Nivelles storm to this year’s calendar.

Please consider posting comments to our Face Book page. Skiers want to see your first hand comments, not my hackneyed drivel.   We are attempting to get a face book link on our web page but when is the last time you said, “boy, that was easy”. Anyway, Face Book link below:
