Grooming Report November 27, 2013

Greetings NTN Members

Forestville: There was 3” to 4” new lake effect snow at the trail head this morning and snow squalls during the early morning groom.
We rolled the Noque to 17k and turned around at the Bismarck bridge due to a large wind fall crossing the trail. As soon as we get a chain saw in the area we will continue to Co Rd. 510. Expect rough skiing after the first small bridge in the swamp. In fact, turning around at the first bridge is a good idea as much of the trail after the first bridge is this rough swamp section followed by less than one k of good skiing before the windfall. We also rolled Lower Anamoosh.
Although the surface will be somewhat uneven, cover is good and snow quality is very nice in that it has been cold snow. Early rolling last week has paid off giving a real base. Additional grooming will take place this evening including an attempt at the hills on Bagwagi and Chiwagi. Our goal is to have all trails ready for your Thanks Giving morning ski. I do hope all have lots to be thankful for in addition to early season snow.
Skiers are reminded of our need for volunteer groomers. With another few groomers we would have all trails groomed. Remember, it is fun, a chance to see the world, meet interesting people and get cold and wet. Please call Nikki at 906 235 6861 or email us at
Saux Head: All trails rolled and plan to groom and track set today!
