Grooming Report December 6, 2013

Greetings NTN Members; December 6, 2013
Remember the Snow Ball tonight. If you don’t have tickets call Nikki. There may be a few left.

Forestville: Groomers were out in force yesterday. The rain did alter the snow texture but not the volume. All trails are well covered. We made use of our new Gator side by side to pull a large heavy Ginzu 108. The Gator and Ginzu 108 were purchased for just such conditions.

We were able to level and break up the surface. We groomed Anamoosh, Noque, Bagwagi, Chiwagi, Mukwa, Migeeze and Old Gookookoo with the Ginzu 108. I think you will find the skate lanes quite nice and very fast. I did not get to ski but it looked nice. I spoke with several folks that said it was very good.

We did attempt to set track on the Noque but it is less than ideal. The snow texture prevents it from forming nice classic tracks. Just an inch or two on new snow would do the trick. We will perform a snow dance but I am not a very good dancer.

Skiers are reminded of our need for volunteer groomers. Volunteer opportunities remain as trail host. As trail host you get to see the world, meet interesting people AND stay warm and dry. Trail host orientation will occur this Saturday at 1:00 P.M. along with the grooming orientation. With another few groomers we would have all trails groomed more often. Remember, it is fun, a chance to see the world, meet interesting people and get cold and wet. Please call Nikki at 906 235 6861 or email us at noquenetwork@gmail.com. Groomer orientation will take place December 7 at 1:00 P.M.
Saux Head: All trails were groomed and track before yesterday’s snow but no report yet today.
