Grooming Report April 10, 2013

Greetings NTN Members,

Forestville: Cold overnight temperatures will have the trails hard and fast this morning. Last grooming was Monday so there will be some tracks in the set up snow so be careful if you go before the day’s thaw begins. The high temp is to be 35 with some sun. Skiing may be excellent about noon and should be good the rest of the day given the relatively cool afternoon forecast. The “Saint Leo’s Day” snowstorm forecast for Thursday will make for up to 4 inches by midnight. Daytime highs for the period are to be below freezing. We will try to get out to groom as soon as weather permits. Saturday looks to be excellent mid-winter conditions. Sunday, not so much
We will continue to keep the trails in good shape for some time given the great skiing and high interest. Quite a few skiers are getting out and enjoying the long season.
So, if you live where you can see your grass, come on up if you aren’t ready for golfing, lawn care, bike riding, water skiing…

We no longer have any paid grooming so any grooming will be by volunteers. Mountain bike season (except for snow bikes) is a ways off so skiers and volunteers are plentiful. If you can groom, please contact one of the Ski Operations folks. You can email if you can groom this week.

Saux Head: All trails have good cover but not freshly groomed.
