Grooming March 29, 2016
Spring Logging is underway: As most of you know, we ski on trails in a commercial forest. Without forestry we have no skiing. So, hug a forester or logger (when they are not logging or foresting). Some trails will be affected. A map is posted at the trail head and ribbon will close off affected trails. PLEASE DO NOT CROSS RIBBONS! The loggers have a job to do and continued interruptions make their job far more difficult. Thanks.

Forestville: This morning we groomed the skate lanes on Animoosh and the Noque to 17k. Expect great spring skiing today.

Way Too Long Version: Look for the Goldie Locks zone to occur about noon. Our bayesian statistician and our actuary almost came to blows this morning when it came time to predict the midpoint of the mostly for the peak Goldie Locks zone forecast. Without going into full please go to the NOAA graph showing the key variables; expected temperature, cloud cover percent and humidity by hour.   Regardless, skiing looks to be the smart move and the rest of us will go to a salt mine.

Please, tell us when the actual Goldie Locks zone occurs so we can settle the mathematician’s dispute.

Please consider posting comments to our Face Book page. Skiers want to see your first hand comments, not my hackneyed drivel.   We are attempting to get a face book link on our web page but when is the last time you said, “boy, that was easy”. Anyway, Face Book link below:
