Grooming January 31, 2018

January 31, 2018;

Forestville Real Grooming Report:  Two inches of new snow overnight is being groomed out to 17k on all trails in the following order; Noque/Animoosh, then Chiwagi via hill by-pass, inner loops and if time they will get Bagwagi.  Groomers are not sure if there is enough new snow to re-set classic tracks but will if there is.

Saux Head: Tim groomed the skate lane on all trails Sunday and set classic tracks on the 5k race loop. Saux Head trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing.  They are located 15 miles west of Marquette just off Co Rd 550; follow the signs.  Trails are as spectacular as the views.

Fit Strip: Groomed Sunday

Big Bay Pathway: Saturday 1/27/18.    All trails are groomed. Meditation and Hidden Grin are in great shape.  Bear Mountain is groomed open for skiing.  It is rough in spots.

Big Bay trails are groomed for classic skiing.  Trails are just off Co Rd 550 in Big Bay.

Way Too Long Grooming Report:   Today’s 2” of fluffy cold snow will blend nicely with a hard base.  Moderate temperatures today and fairly light morning winds will make for very nice skiing.  Afternoon’s wind shift will make things blustery but we are fortunate our trails are well forested.  I am going to try to get my to-do stuff done early and ski.  Later in the week we will need to bring hand warmers.
