Grooming January 13, 2018

January,  13 2018;  Grooming Report

Forestville Real Grooming Report:  Bombi Grooming Today!  Doug will run the Bombi out Bagwagi, turn around at Co Rd 510 and return via Chiwagi and will groom both the hill by passes and the hills of Chiwagi.  Bob is taking the Gator out on the Noque, Animoosh and the inner loops.  He will clean up the skate lanes and any areas where the classic tracks are poor.  Carlson went down to check the ponds and there is slush again so no grooming to the tourist park today.

Way Too Long Grooming Report:    Today’s cold temperatures will set up the snow nicely.  I expect many of you will be looking to get in a long ski today.  The groomer’s choice is to go out Gookookoo to Bagwagi and then to 510; return via Chiwagi and the Noque’.  I am still agonizing over my choice of technique.  I was all set to skate but single digit temperatures and Bombi classic tracks are hard to pass up.

Saux Head: The trail system was rolled yesterday and is being groomed and track set today.

Fit Strip: Heavy snow will be rolled and groomed as time permits.  The Fit Strip located in the Marquette Park Cemetery is open for skiing.  Parking is at the west end of the 800 block of Ridge Street.

Big Bay Pathway: Heavy snow will be rolled and groomed as time permits . Big Bay is Classic only skiing through the spectacular forested hills just south of Big Bay.  Turn left at the sign right in town. The Big Bay Pathway is now partially open.

PS: Sponsored By pictures will begin this week.  So, if you have not renewed your Trail Builder membership, now is the time. You don’t want to lose your K marker.   Please don’t make me track you down. “
