Grooming Report April 18, 2014

Groomers were out before first milking this morning as the temperatures were too warm at bar closing time.  Things had set up and frozen by 5:00 and groomed out quite nicely.  Classic tracks are very nice and most of the trail has very good corduroy.  There are a few areas where “balling” occurred but shaded areas and especially above 11k are very nice.  However, when combined with all factors such as being slightly soft and some areas of unevenness, I can’t call it excellent.  We enter all data into a fairly complex algorithm to rate skiing as poor, fair, good, very good and excellent.  So, although I expect the pun critics on Spruce Street to judge me harshly, I have to say, we have good Friday skiing.
