Marquette Mountain Bike Enduro is this Sunday, 9/29 at 10am.

The first Marquette Mountain Bike Enduro is this Sunday, 9/29 at 10am.   The race will utilize some of the best trails in the South Trail system and will be headquartered at the Heartwood Trailhead on Hwy 553.

Enduro Mountain Bike Racing is a new format that appeals to cross country riders, downhill racers and trail riders equally.  In this format racers ride the course at their own pace, with only a few segments timed.  The best part– the timed segments are usually primarily descents and the most fun parts of the ride and the uphill grinds can be done at leisure while off the clock.
The Marquette Mountain Bike Enduro will feature 3 timed segments varying in length from 1 to 2.5 miles.  Racers will have 3 hours to complete all 3 segments.  Online registration is at Active.com thru Saturday night for $35.  Race day registration at the trailhead will be open from 8:30-9:30 for $40.
