Grooming Report January 15, 2012

Forestville: Yesterday morning the Bombardier was used to groom the Noque up to and past County Road 510. In addition, the Bombi groomed the advanced trails including Bagwagi, Chiwagi, Mukwa and Waban. The inner loops including the Sprint loop, Gookookoo and Papasay are also Bombi roomed. All other trails were packed, rolled and Ginzu groomed yesterday. Skiing was excellent Saturday. Last night and this morning we Ginzu groomed all trails including the Noque to Co Rd 510. Classic tracks were re-set where needed including on the Noque from 15k to Co. Rd. 510. Skiing is excellent.

Heavy train traffic has caused the Rail Road to hold off on grooming into the Tourist Park trail head. We are working on alternate plans to keep this section of trail open and will keep you posted.

Blueberry Ridge: All trails groomed and track set on Friday and again Saturday. All trails open. Heavy snow will cause trails to be on the soft side.

Valley Spur: From Weds. night through Thursday Munising had about 5″ of snow. More fell Friday night and strong snow Saturday afternoon. Full system groomed Saturday a.m. by 11:00. Swanny went back out at 1:30pm to touch up trails given the amount of snow falling in the afternoon. Expect great skiing all weekend.

Saux Head: All trails have been rolled multiple times to harden up the snow. All trails groomed and track set Saturday morning. Heavy snow will cause trails to be on the soft side.

Fit Strip: Fit Strip has been groomed and tracks set on all trails.

Al Quaal Teal Lake Trail – all three loops groomed and tracked Saturday morning.
