Join Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day Celebration on September 20th

On Sat, September 20th, 906 Adventure Team, NTN Singletrack and RAMBA will host young riders, ages 6 to 16, for a youth mountain biking event. The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).

906 Adventure Team welcomes all local riders who want to have a fun day on their bikes. Here’s everything you need to know:

  • All Youth Riders MUST be accompanied by an adult.
  • All riders, Youth and Adults, must wear cycling appropriate helmets.
  • The event will be held at the NTN South Trail Trailhead off of 553.
  • Registration start time is 1:00 pm, all participants must sign a participation waiver.
  • Volunteer help is welcomed!

This event will feature fun skill building obstacles, games, group rides and a Downhill demonstration by local riders. There will also be some cool swag give-ways to all participating kids.

IMBA’s International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day celebrates the life of Jack Doub, an avid teenage mountain biker from North Carolina who had a true passion for the sport from an early age to the time when he passed away in 2002. Event funding is provided by the Jack Doub Memorial Endowment. Additional support comes from CLIF Kids, the National Park Service and Smartwool.
