Forestville: What a holyday treat. Mid season skiing conditions. Another 2” of fluffy snow fell at Forestville yesterday on top of a wide smooth groomed surface. Skiing was hard to beat. Groomers were out in force again last night and all classic tracks were reset and skating lanes were hit groomed. Grooming is being performed with the Ginzu as the base is still too thin to use the Bombi equipment. There is still air in the snow and small race baskets occasionally punch through. Grooming Report December 1, 2012

Trail Update Noquemanon: Thursday, masonry magic was at work on the woodstove pedestal. The BR 160 tiller repairs are complete. Several trails were rolled Thursday and Friday. Trail is good for early skiing, about 15k skiable at this point. New trail signs were installed this week. Thank you to Dr. Don for his work designing & installing the signs. I skied to the bridge at 17k this morning. There was good cover but a few rocks showing. There were some car and 4wheeler tracks but did not ruin the skiing but did some damage. Hello 2012 MGHS Ore to Shore Race Participants & Volunteers! The Ore to Shore Race committee would like to send out a hearty THANK YOU to all the 400 amazing volunteers that donated their time and talents to make this Midwest event great! Records were set this year with 2,387 riders taking part in the 48-mile, 28-mile, 10-mile and various youth events. We are especially proud of the number of kids that race at our event. It is very gratifying to see mom and dad who raced earlier in the day cheering for their children who are racing in the afternoon.

NTN Trail Report Forestville: 1.22.2012: Last night all trails (except New Gookookoo and Bagwagi) up to 14k mark were groomed with the new John Deer Gator pulling the large 108” Ginzu. Please give special thanks to the nice folks at Michigan Sales for making this possible. They have provided the special Gator equipped with tractor treads instead of wheels. NTN Trail Report Forestville: 1.21.12 Yesterday the Bombie groomed up the 510 and the 50K course. The 50 k section is only open on race day but prep has begun. We have also groomed and tracked Muckwa, Chiwagi and Animoosh for those that want to stay closer the heated pole barn. Stay warm. We plan to groom Bagwagi and Migeze today. Forestville: Yesterday morning the Bombardier was used to groom the Noque up to and past County Road 510. In addition, the Bombi groomed the advanced trails including Bagwagi, Chiwagi, Mukwa and Waban. The inner loops including the Sprint loop, Gookookoo and Papasay are also Bombi roomed. All other trails were packed, rolled and Ginzu groomed yesterday. Skiing was excellent Saturday. Last night and this morning we Ginzu groomed all trails including the Noque to Co Rd 510.
