Food Fest and Parade Volunteers Needed

Food Fest Volunteering Volunteers are needed for Food Fest Fun!  4th of July, is coming soon! The NTN is looking for volunteers for two hour shifts, scooping Jilbert’s Ice Cream at Food Fest. Would you be interested in volunteering again this year? The busiest shifts where we need the most volunteers are on: Tuesday from 4-6pm and 8-10:30pm. Wednesday from 4-6pm and 8-10:30pm. Thursday all day…. Keep in mind the shifts are only two hours and your volunteer time extends to the grooming of the ski trails into the winter months and maintenance of singletrack now. Down Wind Bike Demos Support NTN

Down Wind Sport Giant Bike Demo Save the Date: Thursday, June 28, 2012 4-9pm Bike Demos 5:30 -6:30 Mountain Bike Skills Demo for the ladies This event is unique this year as both the woman’s van and official Giant trailer are arriving at the same time.  Down Wind will donate $1 for every demo bike rode, so come out and play. Join in on the fun with Giant cycling activities.  Test a 2012 road, mountain or tri-bike.  To demo a bike have a valid drivers license, a bike helmet, and your own pedals if needed. ###

Food Fest Volunteering Volunteers are needed for Food Fest Fun!  4th of July, is coming soonJ The NTN is looking for volunteers for two hour shifts, scooping Jilbert’s Ice Cream at Food Fest.  Tons of summer fun down at Lower Harbor! Thank you volunteering for the 2011; the donation of your time and customer service talent helped the NTN raise over $6,000. Would you be interested in volunteering this year?   The busiest shifts where we need the most volunteers are on: Tuesday from 4-8pm. Wednesday after the parade at 2pm and before the fireworks at 10pm and Thursday evening from 4-8pm.

Work Bee and Trail Run Coming Up

Work Bee this Weekend NTN Singletrack is hosting a work bee on the South trails this Sunday 6/3/12. Meet at the trailhead at 9:30 for a few hours of work followed by a picnic lunch at 12:30 provided by the NTN. Events Update

NTN MEMBERSHIP NIGHT AT GETZ’S May 24, 2012 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm, Getz’s will be open exclusively for Noquemanon Trail Network members.   During this time, all guests will receive 25% off everything in the store (Keen, Smartwool, The North Face, Mountain Hardwear, etc), the only exclusions would be gift certificate purchases and special orders.  Getz’s will then donate  5% of total sales for that evening to the Noquemanon Trail Network.  Single track memberships will be available, and light refreshments will be served.  Great values and great support for the community of Marquette.   Save the date for power shopping. Saturday is BIKE DAY…… April 28th – Get Into Gear Group Ride: a gently paced group ride for those just getting their ‘bike legs’. Riding from the 553 trailhead at 9:00 am and enjoying the best of the South Trails, new and old. April 28th – Singletrack Dirtball: a fund raising social event hosted at Blackrocks Brewery. Twin Peaks Trail Run Date set for June 9, 2012

The NTN Twin Peaks Train Run is set for Saturday June 9th, 2012 this year.  Both the 1/2 marathon and 5K races start at high noon at the South Marquette Trailhead located off or HWY 553. .
