NTN Professional Opportunities

NTN Events Equipment Manager The NTN Events Committee is actively seeking someone that could assist in managing its equipment inventory. The main events are the Noquemanon Ski Marathon, Ore To Shore Mountain Bike Epic, Marquette Marathon, Marquette Trails Fest and the Marquette Ultra 50. The job requires checking equipment in and out, and making sure it is in good working order. Expectation of time is 1-2 hours per event plus another 4-5 hours throughout the year when equipment is rented out. NOQUEMANON TRAIL NETWORK ANNUAL MEETING

  The Noquemanon Trail Network will host their Annual Meeting at Lakeview Arena Citizen’s Forum Room on Wednesdat, May 20, 2015, at 6:30pm. The (NTN) Noquemanon Trail Network is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 non-profit  organization dedicated to the acquisition and preservation of non motorized trails. The primary users of the trails include: cross country skiers, mountain bikers, runners, hikers, equestrians and paddlers.  The member supported network receives no governmental support and relies on memberships and charitable donations to do it work. A brief overview of the state of the organization will be followed by a regular board meeting. Refreshments

NOQUEMANON TRAIL NETWORK EXPANDS WITH PURCHASE OF SILENT SPORTS TRAIL EASEMENT AND 40 ACRE TRAILHEAD

Easement on Plum Creek land ensures permanent recreation access for thousands of residents and visitors The Noquemanon Trail Network (NTN) today announced that it has purchased nearly 10 miles of silent sports trail easements plus a 40-acre parcel of land in Marquette County from Plum Creek Timber Company, thanks to funding awarded by the Eagle Mine Community Fund. The 40-acre fee purchase, which surrounds the County Road 510 Trailhead, connects the trail easements including the Ore to Shore route and a bypass trail near the 23K mark to the 18K mark on the Noquemanon.  An additional easement was purchased from the

Two Noquemanon Trail Network Work Bees to choose from: NTN Single Track We are quickly (and sadly) approaching the end of “fall” With this comes the need to clean up the trails so we can ride (no, rip) the trails right up to and into winter.  We are scheduling a MASSIVE leaf clean up for this coming Wednesday the 22nd @ 5:00at the South Trail parking lot. Bring your rake. If you cannot make it at 5, but still want to help, contact the NTN office and we can try to save a section for you! Perhaps your favorite section!!!

Join Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day Celebration on September 20th

On Sat, September 20th, 906 Adventure Team, NTN Singletrack and RAMBA will host young riders, ages 6 to 16, for a youth mountain biking event. The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).   906 Adventure Team welcomes all local riders who want to have a fun day on their bikes. The Noquemanon Trail Network accepted as an IMBA Ride Center

The Noquemanon Trail Network accepted as an IMBA Ride Center As of August 2014, the International Mountain Bike Association has granted the NTN as a Bronze Level Ride Center! What this means for the NTN The designation of an IMBA Ride center is only given to large-scale mountain bike facilities which can offer something for every rider. It will allow the Upper Peninsula to be recognized as “destination-worthy” thus putting a spotlight on our trails and drawing in tourism.
