Grooming February 13, 2018

February 13, 2018;

Thank you Trail Builders: Today’s report is brought to you by the Gottliebs and Lily.    The Gottliebs and Lily sponsor the Animoosh/Noque junction.  Without Lily and the Gottliebs we would not be able to enjoy the great skiing we have come to expect.    If you see Lily or the Gottliebs, please say thanks.

Forestville Real Grooming Report:  Bob and Andy are out grooming the skate lanes on all trails west of Forestville all the way to Co Rd 510.

Special note to skiers:  Skiers are reminded we have rental equipment at the trail head. Adult and youth   classic and skate ski equipment as well as snow shoes can be rented daily from 10-4.

Saux Head: Tim groomed all trails Friday the 9th and set classic tracks.   Saux Head trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. The trails are spectacular with great hills as well as rolling terrain.  The views are beautiful and overlook Superior and Saux Head.  Today and the weekend look to be great days for Saux Head.  If you have not skied them you don’t know what you are missing.  Please go today, tomorrow or Sunday. The trail head is located 15 miles west of Marquette just off Co Rd 550; follow the signs.

Fit Strip: Trails are groomed as time permits.

Big Bay Pathway: Trails are groomed as time permits.

Big Bay trails are groomed for classic skiing.  Trails are just off Co Rd 550 in Big Bay.

Way Too Long Grooming Report:     Today looks to be the day.  Temperatures in the 20s and grooming to 510 and a thaw in the offing; who will make first tracks at 24k?  I know February 13th is the traditional day to organize the kitchen’s small-tool-and-rarely-uses-supply drawer but it may have to wait.
