The Noquemanon Cross Country Ski Trail in Marquette, Michigan is a 50K system with point to point and loop features including a range of difficulty from beginner to expert. Trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing with 20k of the trails open to dogs on leash or under voice control. No foot traffic on ski trails. Snowshoeing is allowed but please don’t disturb the classic tracks.

Directions to the trailheads:

 Forestville Trailhead. Follow Wright Street north off of US 41 for approximately one mile to Forestville Road. Turn left. Follow Forestville road for 2.3 miles. Watch for railroad tracks to the right. Turn right and cross tracks following the plowed road. Watch for signs to the trailhead. $10 per day suggested donation to the grooming fund can be made in the lodge.

County Road 510 Trailhead. (no facilities available) Take U.S. 41 two (2) miles west of the Wal-Mart traffic light, turn north (right) on County Road 502 (Midway Drive). In ¼ mile turn north (right) onto County Road 510. The trailhead kiosk is 6 miles down on the east (right) side of the roadway. This trailhead features difficult terrain. Please donate to the grooming fund by using the pay pipe. There is a $10 daily suggested fee.

 Tourist Park Trailhead. Located on CR 550. Turn left off of Sugar Loaf Ave and travel ½ mile. Parking and trail head are on the left. Please donate to the trails using the pay pipe. Recommended daily donation is $10.

New to Cross-Country Skiing (or Need to Rent Equipment?): Its easy to try, the NTN Forestville Trailhead has a wide selection of rental equipment to get outside. The Trailhead is staffed with volunteer trail hosts who assist with rentals, passes, and general questions. Staff is generally available Friday through Tuesday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday and Thursday 10am-1pm. Both 24 hour and multi-day rentals are available with a valid credit card. Due to the nature of volunteer staffing, please call ahead to insure that trailhead staff is available when you plan to venture out. If you need to rent equipment during the times when there is no staffing, or there is no trail host available when you arrive at the facility, please call NTN office at 906-235-6861. Downwind Sports in Marquette also  provides rental equipment.
